HELP!  I have just tried to put straw under my pumpkins and one has broken off the stalk.  It is 33.5 inches round and too heavy for my kitchen scales (I don't have bathroom ones).  If I keep it cool will it be ok until October, will it be edible?

If left in the sun it should still ripen/cure........good luck!
