Have any of you new bee keepers had any honey?  ???

No.  Didn't expect any this year because it was so late when we got our swarm but they have loads to go through the winter and we don't need to feed them yet.

A new beekeeper on my site produced honey this year but had to destroy it because his bees were infected with something (though not the varroa mite)  :(

Mind you I was a bit disappointed too as he was going to give me a piece of bread and honey by way of recompense for when one of his bees stung me near the eye  :D
