Hi all
I have grown 4 cosmos plants from seed and now they are 5ft tall and flowering really well do I leave them or cut them right back to ground after frosts

They are annuals Pauly, which means they complete their life cycle in a year.  The frost will kill them but they won't re-shoot from the roots like a perennial plant would.  You will have to pull the old plants up and start again with seeds next spring.

I would leave them alone and enjoy the flowers while they last  :)

If we have a very mild winter you may find that some seedlings will appear late spring/early summer next year.  I often grow cosmos, and have had these as a bonus in the garden. It's always worth giving the plants a good shake when you get them up - you never know!
