I always ask in the veg growing section about what, when to plant my seeds, plugs, seedlings... But as I have a Cottage Garden in need of some serious loving, I wondered if there is anything I can sow now?

Or is there something I can buy to plant out?

It is a 'high' garden, with most plants/flowers being taller than my 3yr old... though I want to change it to have the 'high' plants against the wall, and the smaller ones in the middle.

Basically I want to re-do the whole garden, although we have to get the landlords permission before pulling up anything big, most things in the garden that are large, are the lavenders and the lemon balms.  Both of which are taking over, every time I go out there seems to be a new 'bush' of lavender or lemon!!

You can also buy and plant out biennials so they flower next year.

For flowers now, winter pansy's are good. We planted some last autumn and they flowered all winter.
