Title: Day 15 in the incubator
Post by: splash101 on April 26, 2012, 22:00
I wasnt going to but temptation overtook.

I've just candled the eggs in the incubator and it is looking hopeful for the French Copper Blacks, almost all are very dark with an air pocket.

It's not looking too good for the Welsummers though. There are a lot that are a definate no, a few that are dark with the air pocket and a few that i just couldnt tell so probably no for them as well.

My broody is sitting on 5 cream legbars (was 8 but now down to 5) It's day 16 for her and i havent candled those. What will be will be.

Hope we get a few to hatch though.

Hope that you get a good hatch rate.  It is so nice to finally see them after all the waiting.  Good luck.   :)

if the shells of the welsummers are dark you may not be able to candle them properly  :(

The shells on the wellsumers were very dark, that combined with my tired eyes left me with some that i wasnt sure about.
