Using Plastic Bottle tops on Bamboo

OK I know I can buy the real thing at 50 for around £6 but I'm making a Plastic Bottle Grow-house / cloche and All those bottle tops and some exterior grade hard as nails from the 99p shop were just asking to be used on the bamboo I have just purchased.

well great use of the tops after using the bottles and at 99p for the hard as nails better than buying 50 for £ 6 you will be able to do at least triple the amount of cane toppers for less than a pound ... I love to recycle items for the allotment cheap and cheerful it all works well ..

I put the bottles over the canes to rattle and in theory scare the pigeons (NOT!) but have been chucking the tops in the recycling...  I'm having a rethink here ....

I use the little probiotic type yoghourt pots when empty on shorter canes where danger of kiddies falling and poking selves in eye or in polytunnel where pulling up a longer cane might cause end to go thro roof or side of tunnel

Surbie - No problem - once I have made the Plastic Bottle Grow house I will upload phorographs.

The idea is to grow the frames one at a time and start with two playing cards type structure as a plastic bottle cloche then grow it as I make more frames to a 1.2m cube then a 2.4 x 1.2 x 2.3 rectangle.

I'm also making 1.2x1.2 netting frames up on the same principal using timber battens that my roofer neighbour brings me home at the end of jobs and plastic bird netting

The plot next to me did this and I didn't notice.....until the wind got up and the only one who was scared was me rofl. very eerie noise
