Yes, I got a McCullough (sp?) as Gwiz recommended, the second one up in the price scale. It arrived yesteday and husband is all excited.
My son wants to put wheels and a saddle on it as it's nearly as powerful as his go-kart! The man who works here who has had an allotment for 40 years has given it his seal of approval. The other son has already asked if his dad needs any attachments as a birthday present from him.

But we went out last night so it is still in its box in the back of the car :!:

Got to go up to Dad's on Saturday so it will probably get an airing on Sunday.

I hope you have a load of fun with it!
just remember to use the right oil/petrol ratio, and it should go for years.
While banging on about this type of thing, It's not a bad idear to use one of those petrol stabiliser sachets in every mix of two stroke you make.
Two stoke mix goes off very quickly, but the stabilisers tend to make it last a lot longer.

Thanks Gwiz, we will certainly do that. He has decided not to get the strimmer out of the box till Tuesday as that is his actual birthday.
