  One of my hens has layed a whopper egg,weighing in at 105g ! her eggs are always the biggest of all the others but this is a record for her,just wondered what everyone elses usually weigh?

My Wassens used to lay, on average, a 65g egg, but I regularly used to get eggs of 80g and more.

Mine averaged 69 g from 3 birds    Regularly though there would be 74 g ones and my biggest girl laid an 104 g which is very big for a Warren. She never repeated it though fortunately for her

I found an egg today which was a whopping 115g! It was all wrinkly - almost accordian shaped, so the pure girl who layed it must have wanted a lie down afterwards. I don't know the culprit yet - it's a tinted egg, so it could be one of 16 hens and I can't see any with their eyes popping out or walking funny!
Seriously though, I was quite concerned when I saw it as it was a wonder it didn't cause a prolapse. It's the biggest egg I've ever seen.
