Cold fermentation advice needed
« on: March 21, 2010, 20:47 »
I'm planning on making a lager using Brupaks a linthwaite light kit.  Not used this kit before as husband likes darker beers but this is for a party.

First question do I have enough time to brew a barrel for 3 July?

Second question how do I cold ferment.

Thanks for any advice.

First thing, yes you have loads of time for it to be ready for July.

Second; does the kit say its got to be cold fermented???  If not room temp will do.  There are loads of places to cold ferment.  You can use a garage or shed (could be a little cold at the moment) or an un-heated room in the house like under the stairs, downstairs Loo etc
