Main potato quandary
« on: August 26, 2021, 12:03 »
I am growing Setanta. The foliage is still abundant and green with just the odd few leaves affected by blight which I remove. I would normally hang on until the second week of September whilst keeping a beady eye on them. However I am away from home for the first week in September. Can I risk leaving them unattended until the second week of September or should I play safe and cut down the haulms before I go?

I would suggest cutting the halms off as the pots probably won't grow any more and they shouldn't have the risk of getting blight.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Too many reports of blight this year to take the risk in my opinion.  Cut them down.
