More info please.  Brown from the tips and edges of the leaves or the stem first.  Any discolouration in the leaf, i.e. yellowing between the veins ? ? ?   ??? Cheers,   Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

i have that as well. not sure what it is either. possible thoughts might be excessive heat. my small greenhouse was at least 35c warm or maybe odd seed not growing well when others have done well.

wow 35c is way to hot for cauli mine get put into the cold frame after seeding and as soon as they go into 3 in pots they are left out overnight as long as there is no frost

brassicas dont like heat

They definitely don't want any heat ... but it would be best to "harden them off" before leaving them outside - so out during the day, in at night, for a week so they get used to the stress of wind-drying their leaves and cooler temperatures.

Sadly they may be more prone to bolting from having had hot temperatures early on :( Fingers crossed :) but if this batch don't fare well don't be put off, and do please have another go.

A few of mine have done the same... stupidly got mixed up and left them in the boiling conservatory instead of moving them out! a couple have picked up but I have also sowed some more as a backup! Cant wait for cauliflower cheese  :D

Thanks Alancas for posting this question because my seedlings have started to do the same!

The heat theory makes sense because at the mo all my seedlings are in my conservatory and it's been quite hot lately

I will definitely start to harden them off now.  Thanks all  ;)
