I initially thought that there were 2 cocks and 1 hen in this
hatch.....but now I'm not so sure. Could you check out the pictures
and do a bit of sexing for me please?



I can see that the right-hand one is a male and the one at the
back a female, but am a bit confused about the one in front.

With faverolles I was led to believe that sexing was done by the feathering. The one with the darker feathers is the male. I'm confused because the one at the back is definitely a female.....no dark feathers....but the one to the left has a few dark feathers underneath but the ones on top are quite light.
Bodger....they hav'nt got any combs yet!!

Praps will be a dark female, definately salmon on top though....One of my pullets looked very similar and she is now a lovely dark colour.

here you go  -I think she is around 8 weeks old in this pic -you can see a  nice dark salmon on top with darker feathers underneath which did throw me! Will take a piccie of her later today as she is now 4months old.
