Roastie went into the nest box this morning at around 8am then at about 8.30 Paxo went in too, 10 mins later they both came out so had a look and nothing??? Then they both went back in at about 8.45, Paxo came out at 9 but Roastie is still in there??? its now 9.15 this will only be Roasties 3rd eggie, do you think she is having problems? I dont want to look in yet in case I disturb her!
thinks her guardian angel`s gone on strike !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes they do get quite comfy in the nest box and like to take their time. If she has just started laying POL it may be that the egg is a little bigger than the last one so will take a little longer to pop out.
Just keep an eye on her and if your still worried just shout someone here will be able to give you some advise.

We've all been here before worrying about our chookies.

Panic over!! Roastie just came out and this is what I found! :D

They both like the same side of the nest box so Paxo must of gone in at 8.30 and kicked her off so she could lay her eggie 1st

They look tasty  :)

Ours sometimes sit and read a magazine or two while they lay. It's annoying when you're waiting to clean the house out, but nature has to take its course.

I'm tempted to leave a hoover in there so they clean up after themselves but they're not house-proud
