Christmas cake - 3rd dry run.
« on: July 18, 2020, 16:34 »
Third attempt, first was passable (eaten), second turned out like fruity bread pudding (also eaten).  Just dug the third out of the oven and as they say "Quietly confident".  It's on the cooling tray looking gooood.  When can we dig in?

Cheers,  Tony.

Naughty Klefti - Aunty will tell you off for using the 'C' word before December  :nowink:

Sounds lovely though, I can just imagine the smell - do you usually make them this early, or did you just fancy trying a few recipes for something to do?

Nope... we just love cake!  The memsahib won the village produce show prize with her chocolate sponge.

I may make another... for that date!

Cheers,  Tony.

I think I am banished to the naughty book as well.   I said about buying a C. Gift for Daughter.    Anyway, we three can say the word now as much as we like, because we are doing our time.     Mrs Bouquet
