Holey sweet peppers
« on: July 13, 2017, 21:24 »
Hi everybody from Mythop Road Allotments, Lytham, Lancashire.
Trying to grow Sweet Pepper "Californian Wonder" in pots in my greenhouse. Plants are strong and healthy, but every fruit so far has a hole or holes in it, about 3mm in diameter; just as if something has eaten it's way outwards from the inside - or even the flower, maybe. Anyone got any advice, please?

Hi Roger  :)

I'll move your post over to GYO to make sure all the veg growers see it.

I must admit that if the plants are strong and healthy otherwise, I wouldn't be too worried, but someone else may know exactly what it is and have some advice  :)

I had some trouble with moth caterpillars that did this one season about 3 years ago.  I just squished them when I found them.
