Powdered Pectin Supplier?

Hi all,

I want to make Strawberry "Freezer" Jam, a la my sister in law in Canada, but cannot find a supplier of powdered Pectin over here.

Anyone know where I can get this??

I have only seen it as a tablet form or solution, you can get it from health shops and one or two decent supers (not tesco, asda etc)

Can't help you source it Squiffy as I live in Canada, but freezer jam has a wicked amount of sugar in it compared to regular jams.

Are you sure you can't get it in a big tesc*? I'm sure i've previously got it there.

I hate to confess to this, but seeing as it's for good cause - I bought some 'Silver Spoon' powdered pectin from Tesc* as they had run out of 'Certo'.

It's next to the sugar.

squiffy, if you could give the recipe for freezer jam on here it would be most appreciated as it is the very best jam ever- the taste of the berries is just like picking them fresh out of the garden- and I have lost mine years ago and have not been able to get it from anywhere- at least not the one from northern parts of the U.S and Canada.
