hi
i have got a 8 x 4 glass greenhouse
im running out of room
can i hang hanging tom's from the roof until the weather warms up
will it take the weight

Don't see why not, but as long as you can lift them off when they get too heavy with fruit etc!

Most greenhouses are pretty stable and I assume you're talking about an aluminium one, so just remember that when you water the plants, you're adding even more weight.

I reckon you should just hang them from the centre ridge piece though, which is  the highest and probably the strongest location.

You can always take them down if you see the greenhouse sagging after all! I know that the glass is actually stopping our (wooden) greenhouse from moving sideways. Glass is incredibly strong when the linear pressure in the same plain is applied to it!

i always put hanging baskets at the top greenhouse - i just used cable ties rapped around the matal framework at the top - forming a loop

going to see if i can put a hanging tom from the roof main support today
if it looks ok then will put 1 more up

with the recent posts of wind damaged greenhouses- I'd be worried that I'd be weakening the structure by hanging heavy baskets from the ridge
