Open Garden Afternoon
« on: July 29, 2018, 17:08 »
Poor boys they have worked so hard all summer.   One is a hairdresser/artist/garden designer, all things arty.
The other is a builder/gardener/handyman etc.
My first thought on arrival was artificial grass.  Wrong, it was beautiful.   The garden is about 90ft long semi-detached width.  On quite a steep hill.
It really was absolutely beautiful even in the pouring rain.  Tony knew the names of all his plants, of which there were many and many more.
The tea and cakes were scrummy  in  dainty old china, and  I washed up with their friend Jamey, who used to be James. She is a lovely person.  (I am like the Ikea add - "always in the kitchen at parties".
It is totally amazing what can be achieved on a plot this size, I came home feeling quite low when I looked at mine !
And it was all inaid of McMillan Nurses.    A lovely, very very wet afternoon.   Mrs Bouquet
