Sick Chickens
« on: December 10, 2011, 23:16 »
   Hello,

I had a sick chicken that I lost to a runny nose, runny eyes, and a puffy face. I had her in a separate place until she died. I have been giving all my chickens antibiotics sense. (I lost her on Tuesday) but today I lost another hen who couldn't breath. She didn't have any of the other symptoms the other hen had. I'm afraid I may be about to loose all my chickens. Does anyone have any idea what this could be or has anyone had anything like this happen to them?

So sorry to hear about your chickens and am sure someone will soon be here with advice.
It sounds like an infection. Which antibiotic are they taking?  One of my chooks was unwell with respiratory symptoms which did not respond to first antibiotic but recovered once it was changed to an alternative.
Good luck

As you have already lost one chicken I would take this second one to a vet as soon as possible. Good luck.
