Eglu go
« on: August 18, 2011, 08:46 »
Can the roosting bars be removed from the elgo go? I'm wondering if it would make a good broody coop for next year? Will be keeping an eye out for an ebay bargain.

I use the rabbit version of the classic eglu for my broody coop - these are cheaper than the chicken versions on ebay  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

The price was why is I was thinking of the eglu go but will look for the rabbit ones too.

I saw a eglu classic for guinea pigs sell for £142  but it was too far away from me.  :(

Yes, once built its in four pieces.

The Shell, including front door.
The back door, completely removable
Roosting bars, completely removable
The Poo tray, completely removable.

I'll double check tonight if the poo tray can be put in on its own.
We use chemicals in this garden, just as god intended

The  g.pig ones are the same as the rabbit ones, they have a solid removable base so are spot on for using as a broody coop. Omlet do a broody coop conversion kit for the classic but I found it rubbish and it never fitted properly  :(.
