We had one of those,

Someone here called it a FART egg!

We were told not to worry, so didn't. And everything was back to normal the next day.

My legbar called lily laid her first egg yesterday and it was the same size as yours.  Today though she laid another and it is slightly bigger!  Lets see what size we get tomorow!

I am with Chickadee, we have also got a few of theses little ones which I am presuming are from the 4 new hens recently integrated.  Mind you 2 days ago we got an egg weighing 109 grams which beats our previous heaviest of 105.  Is there a reason/ cause why occasionally you get an egg so much bigger than the normal?

I've never had a double yolker  Our little maran layed for 16 weeks straight, amazing so didn't really expect much, but all her eggs were at least 75g!  Now the susex has come back into lay after hatching some eggs and now waiting for her babies to start!  Can't wait until spring!  ::)
