Had a call from one of my customers tonight, asking if he can come down and buy some more feed from me, plus he wants another 20 chickens!!!  but that's besides the point.

He lives between Wragby and Horncastle, and wants to keep his chooks on the Farmgate food that they have always been used to.

Do any of you use Farmgate and where do you get it please?  I certainly don't mind him having some off us, but its a bit of a drive for him.  Would like to find him somewhere a bit nearer home if I can.

And thanks Rob, but looking at their catalogue, it looks like they only do their own make now!  But his Amberlinks may like the CWG pellets.  At least it will save him a trip!!!!

Is Thornton Curtis too far from Lincoln? They have Farmgate , and all sorts of other stuff and brands.
The Amberlinks I got from Annie are not too keen on it The Farmgate ), but will eat practically anything else, especially greens, and love a scrat about for woodlice worms and whatever else strays across their path.
They get a corn supper as well, so tend to leave the layers pellets alone unless there is nothing else.

Hello Annie,

They are doing great ! real characters and very easy to handle.
They laid very well during the summer but not so much this time of year, but no extra light etc so bound to be the case. Fine with us.
They are in their own run most of the time, its a good size about 20foot by 8 foot and with a hedge to one side behind the chicken wire so quite sheltered.
I will have to post a pic of the new run, pleased how it turned out.
As for grub, as I said they have Farmgate every day in their trough but dont go for it much but they have lots of other supplemental food anyway !
