Quail's food

I am getting quails next week.
I need to decide, what food to feed to quails.

I thought Allens and Pages would be good.. but which bag to go for!!

Marriages I would like to get but no nearest stockist!! so thats out of the window. My supplier does Allens and Pages.

please help!! what would you feed to quails.. which brand?

I have over 200 quail and all they get is standard chick crumb when young and standard layers pellets when 6 weeks old...

I breed 1000s a year and the fertility is brilliant, birds look good (apart from the poor females backs of their heads) and they are happy

If you want to treat them then thats great....... but if you are in for an easy and less expensive  live then chook food is fine

mine and the breeder i got them off feed standard layers mash, pellets are fine if they are small enough for them to eat! thats why mash is often better no large pellets!

its called argo i only use this one because the company that produce it isnt too far away so makes it pretty cheap!
