OMG *bork*
Rosie is taking her job very seriously and is sitting on her eggs almost in a trance.
After a bit of DIY to enable me to remove half of the roof of her "isolation unit" I was able to pick her up (with much growling and hissing) and put her on the grass which seemed to wake her up a bit. She took two steps and poo'ed. OMG I could smell it from the other end of the garden.
She wasn't very happy though, and after 5 minutes I picked her back up and put her back on her eggs. She has food (chick crumb) and water within reach in the coop. She was all snuggled down again within 2 minutes.

I know what you mean about the smell and aren't they enormous
You will need to take her off the eggs at least once a day unless she does it herself.

I know!..they bigger than the dogs...they nearly as big AS the dog. The smell is incredibley bad, and quite distinctive. You go out into the garden and KNOW there is a broody somewhere  in my case...5 ATM. If environment al health chose the wrong time to come round...... ??? :tongue2:
