So now we have a competition, when is it best to sow pupmkin seeds? also as the growth rate is so rapid, Is it possible to plant seeds in large pots rather than potting on lots of times? Or is root formation better in smaller pots? When I sowed too early all the stems snapped. Would this be because they were weak or do all pumpkins behave like this? Ta

Not wishing to give too many things away, I sow late April in a 3" pot.

It stays in that until it's planted out late May/Early June. No transplanting between pots.
