Is it beyond saving?
« on: October 04, 2009, 10:56 »
A couple of years ago I made some plum wine, and some wine from a tropical syrup.  I stuck them in a corner and forgot about their existence!  Oh dear - my lovely wine - do you think its salvageable?  One of the airlocks is out of water, and the other one seems to still be fermenting?  Of course I'll have to taste them both, but what do you all think my chances are?

Well you can only taste them Tallulah!  The one with the dry airlock, has the airlock got a cover on it?  Some of mine have little caps, but if it hasn't, then the vinegar fly could have got through the dry airlock, but you never know, they may be fine.  specially the one with the airlock still okay.  Some wines get better with age like elderberry, so the plum one may too.  Don't know about the syrupy one though.

Hope they taste wonderful!!!!
