Following on from the Turbo cider thread here, why do people buy wine kits? Because (in theory) you can go into Liddl's or Morrisons, buy some grape juice, stick it in a demijohn and add some yeast.
And I guess the turbo cider is technically wine - although maybe the alcoholic strength is the determining factor?

The grapes used for juice are not the same as those used in wine, so the taste is compromised. That said, if you aren't fussed and enjoy grape juice, why not?
