Title: new to allotment

Just taken over a slightly overgrown allotment, which is proving not too difficult to clear, but there are two large rhubarb plants that have not been harvested this year and also some raspberry canes and currant bushes. How should I revitalize these? Any ideas please

Rhubarb, clear any weeds from around base of plant. Don't pick any stems now, but allow it to build up reserves in the roots for next season. Allow the leaves and stems to die back naturally and then clear them if you wish. Spread some manure or compost around the crown and wait for spring!
I'll let someone else advise on raspberries and blackberries, as they are  not my forte.

Hi Honeybee and welcome  :)

The pruning of raspberries is different for summer and autumn varieties.  Similarly, blackcurrants have different treatment to red or white ones.  Do you know what you have ?  Pictures may help people id them for you  :)

Hi Honeybee and welcome. Nice to have some fruit on your new plot  :D

Pictures will certainly help, as New Shoot said, but in the meanwhile clearing weeds and grass froma round the stems of the bushes/plants will be a good start
