hi
im confused :?  (usually am!!), chicken types can be called different names?
erm i mean (i havent been drinking, honest, hopeless at getting my point across!!), like a miss pepperpot is also called a bovan nera ( i think), has anyone got a list of chicken types and their various other names?
just curious thats all

What, you mean like an Amberlink can be an Amber Star, there's a silver star and an amberlee, but basically I think they all look the same!!!!

I think you will find that different breeders and different hatcheries will have their own tilt on the name.  Like I've said before, most of the hybrid breeds now belong to Hendrix Genetics in the Netherlands.  So all the brown hybrids are connected, and most come from RIR stock.

Hendrix have the parent stocks of ISA, Babcocks, Shavers, Hisex, Bovans and Dekalbs(Ambers).

Calder Rangers are one of these, but I can't remember if they are ISA, Warrens are ISA's I think, surely someone else will be able to add to the list for you.
