I mean the ale and the cider we did in May for our holidays.

However, we started another cider (pear this time), and a cherry beer last week.

The cider's ready to transfer into another vessel so we can add the sugar and the pear essence that comes with the kit.

Also, I'd like to know if it's OK to rinse and sterilise the bottles in the dish washer after giving them a good wash in the sink with a bottle brush?

They might not wash properly in a dishwasher, you can get small baby brushes.
Hubby moaning here as the kegs are now finished!!

Thought so, just find it difficult to get the flat of the bottom scrubbed. I thought the spraying in the dishwasher would got in there and done that...

For any stubborn stains I use a weak bleach solution, it's o.k. as long as you rinse well after.
