I spot many spelling mistakes which I put down to lazy journalism and the over use of spell checker etc instead of a pair of eyes proof reading.
This came through our door from a 6th form college for my daughter
I seriously cannot believe no one has made the effort or taken 2 mins to check it, to make it worse it is the same on  both sides!

Sure can! I must admit I can spot a spelling or punctuation mistake a mile off but my real bête-noir is the misuse of the apostrophe in the word "its" because it only needs a second or two of thought to get it right. I must have gone through my booklet on Cockersand Abbey innumerable times to get it as I want i.e. spelling, punctuation, grammar, spacings etc, but I always find something just after I've printed out 24 copies!

I've seen a few like that in the past, more confusing are those which give a day and date that are inconsistent. Perhaps that leaflet is aimed at those who live in a parallel universe where time runs backward.

Bear in mind predictive text, I know the difference but sometimes look back & see my iPad has decided on a different to,too,lose,loose etc. If I try to change it too quickly the forum tells me I cannot post again for so many seconds!

That's to stop flood attacks where a script posts spam after spam in a very short time.
