Hi all 

I am crossing all questions off my list as I find answers/advice. Next up is :-
We are building our own coop and are to have max 4 orpingtons 
Is 3ft L x 2 1/2 ft W ok with 2 perches at same height ?
How tall does coop need to be inside ?
How big does pophole/door need to be ?

Sorry I don't know the answer to your query. Perhaps you could go on the internet and look at the plans for various coops and work it out bearing in mind that Orpongtons are biiig chooks!

Hi i have 1 orpington in my flock as said they are big birds my pop hole is 12x12inch and she doesnt have any probs  as for the height well thats realy a matter of choice the taller it is the easier it will be for you to clean them out

I have looked at quite a few most for  4 - 6 birds are 70 cm wide but don't state a height for inside coop.
As we making our own it will have a lift up hinged roof and a drop down side so be very easy to clean.
Was wanting to get measurements just right as we wanted a moveable coop inside run so they have ideal space to sleep and lay bwhich will then leave amximum outside space for them.
Will carry on looking.
