Aubergine, Cucumber & Courgette problems.
« on: May 26, 2011, 09:28 »
Nice site! Seeking your advice as a newcomer.

Aubergine (lowest) leaves being 'grazed' on underside - leaf removed & next one is eaten.
No sign of pests.

Courgette & Cucumber leaves get pale edge. No hot sun to act on transpiration. State - embryo fruit, just started a Tom feed.

Just possibly.  .  .  . (1) whitefly damage. (2) magnesium deficiency.  (3)  ditto and a touch of powdery mildew setting in.

In my humble opinion.   Cheers,   Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

If the bottom one is a courgette...some varieties do develop silver markings  :)

I always dread the onslaught of Whitefly, so I'm watching. But do they 'graze'?

The yellow edges - Magnesium? Always a thought, but very early to show? I said 'embryo fruit' on the Cues. Just checked again & we're up to 10x3 mm on some. They are mini Cues, so great for the Grandchildren next weekend! See pic.

'Twas the yellow edge on the Courgette - like the Cues - that concerned me. The silver I accept as a norm.

PS Most kind replies.
