Pruning apple trees
« on: January 11, 2009, 15:10 »
I have just bought two espalier apple trees, from Crown Nursery actually and they very kindly sent pruning instructions with them. They say I should prune the main stem to at least half, but my book says if I prune now and there is a frost it will cause die back....what to do!??
