And if so how many seed potatoes do you put in them and do you cover leaves over and over all to the top of the bin only half way down??

I have been promised 3 so wondered if I can chuck a lot of my seed spuds in.

  as in    'The  bigger the bin the more you can put in'      type of thing

Yes they are fine for growing tatties in as longas they're kept really well watered; maybe use some liquid retaining gel.

But, the bins become really heavy with all that earth/soil and you need a lot of soil/compost to fill the bins up with  :shock:

Thanks hun, I've just googled it and come up with a Q with answers from this site!  Talk about going round the houses, and Compost Queen (curtseys) gives some advice but then someone else (soz forgot who you were  :shock: ) mentions the potatoes at the bottom not getting enough light.

Now tell me to go away and stop reading and chatting on this flamin' site
