..... Attach their jaws to your trouser leg while your walking in the house, or draw blood with tiny teeth.  They dont leave a map of bruises on your skin, or chew your slippers, socks, shoe laces and anything else you're stupid enough to leave around.

They don't have you all sitting of an evening with your feet up on the furniture while they have a massive mad hour, and have you wondering why you didn't choose the quieter one sitting at the back of the pack rather than this 'extra' from that chainsaw film you hated.

They don't eat other animals poo and think its a delicacy.  They don't have rainbow poo because of all the 'stuff' they've hoovered up and swallowed behind your back.  Oh yes, and they don't try to have a go at the vet.

The list goes on I'm sure, and yes, the last six months would have been a lot quieter with a fish randomly swimming in circles  

But, I wouldn't have swapped anything for my wee pup who is six months old this week

My wee terrier is all terrier for sure.  Mad as a brush at times.  Is learning some good manners. Still gets forgetful at times, and definitely has a 'deaf' tendency 

What a six months, whew .... They grow up so quickly, and I'm sort of missing those manic ankle biting, nimrod moments.  Well, maybe !

If that last picture is recent, I see she's at the "string" stage now. You've certainly given a very accurate description of a Terrier pup.  Look at those eyes - intelligent, wise, eager to please...

Thanks all for the lovely comments ....  . She gets a lot of admirers when she's out and about, apart from non dog folks and one chap with a Lhasa/bichon cross who was slightly older than her, and the owner picked his pup up.  Not sure what he thought was going to happen

Thanks lacaya  . The bit of water is Loch Laggan and we had been looking at a memorial there and admiring the view, but the pup was more interested in exploring the view at ground level through the heather

Got you now  . Here was me thinking you were talking about her coat as, at the minute, her adult coat is just coming through after stripping some loose puppy hair - I have spent a small fortune over the years on waterproof clothing and the wee dog grows the real thing and water (and mud) just runs off her
