Title: What to do with my Kiwi
Post by: davejg on November 07, 2013, 18:12
I took a tiny cutting from a kiwi fruit about14 months ago. It survived last winter in a pro[agator and has spent the summer in the greenhouse its got one stem about 5 feet long, can i put it outside this year?

If you can harden it off, I would plant it outside so that it does not grow too much 'soft' growth over the winter and in early Spring.

I am assuming it is a hardy variety though

It is not evergreen, but it will not die down to ground level or anything. The branches make a permanent framework
