I have a cucumber plant and the stem has been half chewed by a **** slug. I'm asking if I can bury below the damage and expect it to re-root? PS, it's still healthy. Thanks.
I see the idea in the newsletter about copper for slug control. Research shows copper mesh is cheaper. I have the idea that this could be buried around the plant OR perhaps better still (reusable) wrapped and (stuck!) around a pot with the bottom cut off.
Anyone used copper and/or mesh for this purpose (before I buy yet another useless idea!)?
Sorry if this has been touched on, but an article I read recently commented on Highgrove`s gardener suggesting similar to the `beer` method, alternatively using a mixture of small amounts of sugar and died yeast with water in pots with the rim at ground level. Anyone tried this?
Hello All Made the first fishing trip last week, sadly saw no sea trout, did have an enjoyable evening last night taking the local Young Farmers Club for a have a go at fishing evening.
