Hi all

Just started keeping chickens after many months of hen related research. Aquired lots of usefull information from this site   'thanks'
I have been offered an Amber White but cant find any information on these birds !! Can anyone out there tell me a little about them

These are my Amberlinks!

And this is the tech data from the Company that now owns most of the hybrids.  The Dekalb White is the Amberlink.  That's what the hatchery we use call them, and I think the amber Lee and the Amber Star are the same birds.  The cockerel is a light sussex and the hen is a rhode Island Red.

The Light Sussex cross Rhode Island Red traditionally produced a brown laying hen Annie. :D

I know Bodger, but I asked the hatchery, and the way things are now, i.e. not done traditionally anymore in the hybrid world, the hens take their colouring from the cockerel, so Lt Sussex cockerel and RIR hen = white females with touches of brown, and RIR cockerel x Lt Sussex hen = brown/reddish females like the goldlines with touches of white or cream
