My potatoes
« on: April 30, 2012, 20:50 »
Hi all. I sowed my potatoes 2 weeks ago after a really good chitting period. Unfortunately it has done nothing but persist it down ever since and my pots have yet to break the surface of the soil. Might they have drowned?

Very much doubt it.  Should be fine  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Isnt it depressing, we planted ours 6th April, dont think ours have made it, they are not poking through, the bed is quite damp and waterlogged.  its only been two weeks, maybe yours have yet to come.

I wouldn't be worried at all yet.  They would be quite early coming through now.  Mine only have a couple of sprouts visible and they have been in a month.

Phew! The weather was lovely when I put them in. And now I have a swamp rather than plot
