blanching

I've recently been harvesting broad beans and I wondered how long to blanche them for and when I looked it up on your forum, I'm not clear what you mean when you say 3mins! Is that from whem you put them in the boiling water or from when the water starts to boil again?

I find three minutes to be too long.  I blanch for one minute from the time they boil.
Cheese makes everything better.
