hi    got some potato sets today       they seemed very small    do you get a good crop from them as aposed to larger egg size sets   ty

Once they have good eyes it doesn't seem to matter how small the seed potatoe is.

In fact some folk cut the larger ones into pieces with one eye on each, so small is just fine

and you soon learn not to put potato peelings in the compost bin (unless of course you don't mind harvesting a crop out of there LOL)

A large seed potato has a larger reserve of food for its initial growth. Smaller ones are fine if there is plentiful food in the soil.

Egg sized ones are fine.

You can get more smaller potatoes in the bag if your supplier does 'fill a bag' rather than selling by weight.
