Potato Onions

Hi

I planted six potato onions in the spring 3 red and 3 white . I have just dug them up and what a great crop i have . Should i keep the small ones to plant again next spring or should i plant them now . Any help with growing tips would be great

I've had to look this up, but I'm not really any the wiser and managed to get a bit confused.

What is a potato onion, and how is it different from a shallot?

Where can I get some sets to plant??
Now a member of the 10 Ton club.... 2013  harvested 588 Kg from 165 sq mt..
