(1/1)

Royston1:
Hi, have just recently joined. I have a few pairs of mid priced secateurs which need sharpening. Looking on google there are plenty of different types. Has anyone tried different styles and has a favourite?
Intending to purchase Felco secateurs but would still like to sharpen the ones I have. Thanks for reading.

I use one of these, they seem to work quite well.

my sharpener is my husband,as a job he was a blacksmith/farrier and knows metals and how to sharpen them,if you get really stuck i am sure he would sharpen them for you.

jezza:
Hello I use a file to take any Nick's out of the blade then use an old broken scythe stone to rub the edge up to  sharp then use a leather belt to strop the back of the cutting edge,if you use a belt to hold your trousers up it's always with you    jezza
