Title: Winemaking equipment
Post by: AndyRVTR on July 24, 2011, 20:14
Hi everyone... my wife and I would like to start making home made wine and have been on the lookout for some equipment to get us started.
We have tried the usual places ebay, freegle, pre-loved etc, but they always seem to be miles away from us... I think the closest person with stuff for sale has been 85miles away, and obviously the point of brewing our own is to save the pennies so the cost of doing a 170 mile round trip is defeating the point.
Does anyone have any suggestions where we might be able to pick up what we need a little closer to home?
Thanks for any suggestions....  :)

Why not try Amazon?

I got a new filter and pads, and it arrived within a day or so. Good price too!

Just search for what you want, and they'll show everything you can think of!

Hi guys... thanks for all the advice.... just a quick update..... I think my guardian angel is certainly looking after me at the moment, I put a new ad on Freecycle Tuesday night just before I went to bed, I received an email yesterday morning offering me one or two DJ's, and this is what I collected last night night free of charge.  :D :D

7 x 1 Gallon DJ's
3 x Airlocks & Bungs
Bag of 50+ Corks
Box of 12 empty wine bottles
Hydrometer
oh, and a bottle brush...

What a bargain....  :D
