Title: paper pots
Post by: rowlandwells on April 27, 2018, 14:56
I had to smile to my self when Monty Don was promoting using paper instead of plastic because I think  there are many gardeners o this site already  using paper pots for some time now including me

I remember this topic being talked about on this site some time ago and there where many good replies from our members who had had good results from this method I'm trying growing as many seeds as I can in paper pots because there's no disturbance when planting out and the paper disappears in the ground without  trace

the wife bought me a couple of paper pot makers two years ago for Christmas I thought when I open them what do I do with these then I started making paper pots and never looked back although I do use other things like peat pots jiffy pellets but I have to say paper pots are the cheapest option

I agree, but there is no need to buy formers, paper can be wrapped around any old spray can (deep and narrow pots) or food can (regular size pots) :)
