Last Saturday I picked up my 3 POL leghorns. On Sunday I had my first perfectly white pullet egg, and there was a sfot shelled egg in the nest box on Sunday evening... and not a peep since!
Mind you they could be laying anywhere they are that scatty. They have changed home three times in the last week, and I have to do a head count each evening as I never know where they will end up sleeping (fortunately all my adults are vaccinated now, and I've never had any respiratory infections in 3 years, and while I would have preferred to keep them separate for a bit longer, they do seem to have integrated into the flock without problems.
