Thanks freecycle!  Just got a 45gal plastic barrel to use as a water butt!  I also gave a chilli plant to a freecycler on the lookout  after the frost wiped out his greenhouse.
Add me on PSN but nowadays I reach for the fork or hoe more than a controller

Driving down the A303 to the south coast for a sea fishing tripo when I realised I hadn't packed a towel (wiping hands, holding fish etc).   Beside the road I spotted a piece of cloth and after slowing, stopping and carefully reversing I picked up A TOWEL.

I suppose the lord had put it there just for me ! ! !

Cheers,     Tony.

I have got rid of loads of stuff using freecycle, but have only got lucky a handful of times in all the years I have contributed  and responded.  I managed to get some bark chips, washable nappies, a small childs wooden chair which I refurbed for my little boy and a water butt (minus tap).

A thank you to freegle from me!

Just picked up 40 assorted paving slabs and 50 bricks. Bricks off to the lottie to weigh down netting etc, the slabs will be argued (I mean debated) over.  ::)

Extend the patio, mend the broken path by the side of the house or off to the lottie...................

Feeling that the first (and final decision) will be the wife's! :D

Thanks to freecycle we picked up 20 sacks of coal and a big stack of kindling last night plus 5 plastic dustbins that the coal had been emptied in to.  :D

when we went round we were expecting 4 small bins not 5 big dustbins full - so very useful indeed. The old lady at 92 decided she'd had enough of lighting fires so was getting a gas fire fitted. She got her young neighbour (he's 89 ) next door to advertise it as he has one of those computer thingies  :D

I've just joined (thanks to this thread) and so far I've picked up 2 demi johns, a large 3ft terracotta wine container, and due to pick up another 5 demi johns this weekend.  All for OH's wine making empire!

Here here!!
We also got a 10 x 8 greenhouse with only one cracked pane in it, complete with all of its shelving and potting benches etc! Chuffed to bits especially since I'd spied similar in a garden centre for the equivalent of a couple of months mortgage payments!lol!
We also got a load of free firewood too :D
Happy times
My chickens probably make more sense than I do so forgive me ;-)
