Title: frozen elderflowers

just bottled 6 demijohns of wine off ready to start some more .we picked elderflowers in the summer and froze them has anyone done this and used them for winemaking.just wondered if it would taste the same as fresh ones

not done it with elderflowers flatcap, but with elderberries, but I can't see it making any difference to the flavour.  You'll have to let us know what it tastes like!!!!!

We've frozen them before to use for elderflower cordial, we found no difference in the taste.

I ran out of empties so have had to drink some up as I have some bottling to do :D
 I want to make elderflower beer as I tried some I got from a shop a couple of years ago and they stopped selling it, it was the best summer beer I ever tasted...

elderflower wine my favourite i made 10 lots in the summer its all drunk now :( i havnt tried the beer might be worth a try ive got elderflowers steeping in tub il let you know in a few month what it tastes like :D
