No.

Get them out of that propagator.

At 3cms high, they will already be leggy. To try and save them get them into a light place and stick some aluminium foil behind them to reflect light.

1 - You are way to early with them.
2 - Brassicas are very hardy plants and do not need propagators.

I don't know what variety you've got, but reading the instructions on the back of my packet of Red Drumhead,(always a good guide), it says to sow March to May outside, so January in a heated propagator is definitely not recommended.

My simple solution would be to throw them away & sow under the correct conditions at the correct time.

I will actually start mine inside, but only in April in an unheated greehouse. They won't get planted out until June/July.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

That's good advice DD.
Now's the time for a tidy up of your seed box whilst sitting in front of a roaring fire eating toast.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Now THAT'S what I call multi-tasking!! (how many arms have you got, Noshed?)  :D
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Some things are worth chancing getting an early start; the odd tomato [1 or 2 seeds max], peppers and chilis] but cabbages aren't one of them!

Basically, because cabbages are hardy anyway! So you don't need them to fruit before the frosts come next year.

Since they have been sown I would grow them on to about six inches high and then put the whole lot in a stir fry.

Cheers,

So it does!
http://www.johnsons-seeds.com/catalogue/product/cabbage-red-fuego-f1/13271/

Sow January to April
and crop from August.

However I think the very beginning of January was too fast of the mark!

Fuego F1 - looked them up, the write up does say indoors, Jan onwards, (doesn't mention propagators), although I'm not disputing the pack may.

I find it amazing that a seed supplier has told people to start  brassicas off in a propagator.

Don't be tempted to go for the earliest sowing dates on the pack. You run into problems with having your plants too early & conditions not being right to put them out.

Bottom heat in propogators leading to leggy plants with no strength and far too early to plant out is the biggest and earliest mistake I ever made after first getting a  greenhouse. I agree with DD. Never do it.
If you start brassicas in pots etc then do so in a cold greenhouse but without heat and I think March is early enough. Good Friday is my usual outside seeds in the ground day and that gives sturdy plants that transplant well. Bit unscientific I know but this year that is end of March.
